ending in this chilling start to our new season

Murder in Play
A low budget repertory production of 'Murder at Priorswell Manor' is looking
decidedly shaky in more ways than one. The cast is more interested in their
egos than the play until one of them is murdered on stage.
Red herrings abound in this murder mystery, showbiz spoof
which we hope is not too close to home!

Studio Presentation
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
Shakespeare may be turning in his grave, but this cult comedy contains all 37 plays in just 97 minutes. The comedies are condensed into 'Four Weddings and a Transvestite' the history plays are transformed into a game of American Football and 'Titus Andronicus' becomes a TV cookery programme. Love or loath him this cheeky review of the Bard's work should put a smile on your face.
11 - 14 Feburary
70th Anniversary Double Bill
Brief Encounter
Anorak of Fire
To celebrate our 70th anniversary we present two very different plays linked by our railway heritage. The classic story of unrequited love in Noel Coward's 'Still Life' memorably filmed in the forties by David Lean and now better known as 'Brief Encounter'. A love affair that blossoms and fades in a railway station's tea room. By contrast 'Anorak of Fire' explores the love affair between man and railway seen through the eyes of Gus Gascoigne trainspotter! A touching, ironic and consistently funny insight into the phenomenon that is trainspotting.
7 - 14 March
Same Time, Next Year
George and Doris meet in a Californian hotel in 1951 and fall in love. The only problem is that they are both married and in love with their partners. Not wanting to be parted forever they agree to meet in the same hotel at the same time every year to continue their affair. We follow the changes in their lives and in the American way of life over twenty five years. An amusing, touching, thoughtful and thought provoking play that was a long running Broadway hit and successful film, starring Alan Alda.
9 - 16 May
Dad's Army
For the grand finale to our anniversary season we take you to Warmington-on-Sea where the home guard battle daily against the German menace and local ARP warden Hodges, in this classic BBC TV series now lovingly recreated for the stage. Complete with all the well loved characters, 'Stupid Boy' Pike, 'Don't Panic' Jonesey and of course the redoubtable Captain Mainwaring and his long suffering deputy Sgt. Wilson, Dad's Army will be a summer treat for all.
11 - 18 July
Whilst every effort is made to present the productions as listed, there are occasional circumstances beyond our control which may necessitate a change to the published programme.
Performances begin at 7:30pm unless otherwise stated. To avoid disappointment patrons are reminded that latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable point in the performance. Patrons are also requested to switch off all mobile phones, pagers and silence alarm watches when in the auditorium.
