Tales of the Unexpected

Stephen Moran
The two ‘Tales of the unexpected’ were both award winning plays at past All England theatre festivals.
Act One ‘The Final 45 with Frank Farmer’
After six and a half years Frank Farmer is being taken off air. Since moving from England to the USA Frank has become one of the most recognised faces in the country. For his final appearance he brings on his favourite actress and singer Tania Drew and her husband Tyrone. The subject of the show is forgiveness, but there seems to be friction between Frank and Tyrone-
But is everything quite as it seems and how will it end…?
Act Two  ‘The Sandlewood Mouse’.
Nick and Sue are selling their ‘doorstop’ at a local auction house to pay their Sky bill. It is a large pottery mouse made by Victorian artist John Sandlewood. The estimated value is around £80 but when the auction starts it looks as though their doorstop could fetch more money than they expected – but are they selling it at the best auction house? Nick has a cunning plan to maximise their profits- but is he being greedy?

It Runs in the Family

Ray Cooney

BRITAIN’S MASTER FARCEUR (Two Into One, Run For Your Wife, et al.) is at it again. Set in a hospital, It Runs in the Family contains the usual assortment of farcical nuts running in and out of doors mistaking everybody for someone else, as Dr. Mortimore tries to fend off a paternity suit, an ex-wife, a punkish daughter and various other lunatics so that he may, at last, deliver the Ponsonby Lecture at an international conference.

This amateur production of “It Runs in the Family” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
